When making a bed the aim is to ensure that the client / family member will have a clean, comfortable, safe bed.
When beds are made in the correct manner it also ensures that the risk of infection is reduced.
The risk of the client developing pressure injuries will also be reduced as any areas of pressure will be resolved (wrinkled sheets or tangled blankets).
